Things have gone from bad to worse. If the performance of the 2009 car in the first three races of the season can be called “poor”, the run at the Kingdom of Bahrain was abysmal and nothing short of a complete disaster. BMW boys finished 18th for Kubica and 19th for Heidfeld with only the mechanical gremlins of the Willaims of Kaz Nakajima saving BMW from the total disaster of finishing dead last.

Design Chief Chris Bangle Quits BMW

Christopher Bangle

Love him or hate him, Christopher Bangle, is certainly a controversial figure. The former BMW design chief who took the company’s styling in a radical new direction starting with the 2002 BMW 7 series, has left to "…pursue his own design related endeavors beyond the auto industry." Although his initial designs were quite jarring, we at BMWNation have grown to like the evolution of some of the models like the 3 series coupe and the upcoming version of the Z4.
